Keyword Density Analysis helps: optimise your website for search engines; determine content relevancy; reveal search engine algorithms; analyse keyword density; and identify the best keywords/key phrases for your website.

Keyword density is a critical aspect of search engine optimization. Internet search engines ‘spider’ your web pages to measure the relevancy of keywords or key phrases to a given search term; calculate the number of keywords; and calculate the frequency of keywords vs. the number of words on your page (ratio).

For high ranking on a search engine, your keyword density ratio should be between 1% and 7%. Different weightings or values are applied by each search engine according to where keywords appear on the page (in headings, page title, body text, comments, etc).

Our Keyword Density Analyser has easy step-by-step instructions.
To use this application simply enter:-

  The URL (web address) of the page you want to analyse
  The url of another page with high ranking for your chosen key phrase
  The chosen key phrase
  Click on the SUBMIT button.

This takes you to a new page where you will see how the density of the keywords on your page compare to the other top ranking page for each of the main areas (title, description, header, etc) of your page and the total overall density.

Then you see where your page needs to be modified to try and emulate the keyword densities of top ranking pages to improve your
search engine rankings.

Make a note of where changes are required and if you are already one of our customers, you can go into the Site Editor and make the changes in Source mode. Save the page and check it again in the Keyword Density Analyser. Keep doing this until you have achieved near to the right densities of the top ranking page.

Then submit to the search engines using the Site Submitter.
